MALE

Hair neatly trimmed & combed, conservative style and off the collar. Freshly clean shaven or beards and moustaches that are short & well-groomed

 

FEMALE

Long hairstyles must be tied back with accessories MATCHING hair colour, IN A TIGHT OR TIDY BUN or DONUT (Short hairstyles must be very tidy & off the face)

Jewellery & Accessories

Watches – Conservative styles allowed in silver, gold or black

Rings – Wedding rings sets or 2 rings per hand are acceptable, no bulky styles

Bracelets – Medical only

Necklaces – No visible necklaces

Piercings – No facial piercings or visible body piercings, females may wear one pair of hoop or stud style earrings, no larger than a five-cent piece

Tattoos – No visible tattoos

Makeup – Natural & neutral tones only, do not overuse

Perfume / Cologne – do not overuse

Nail polish – Nails clean, shirt & well-manicured, no nail polish allowed

Outside Melbourne Park Function Centre, Tram Side, between function centre and Tennis HQ building

 

Staff entrance

All Staff Must Report to the Rod Laver Arena Muster Room (inside the Melbourne Park Function Centre)

 

Access Muster Room from Tram Stop 7B

  • Walk towards Tennis HQ (8 story building to the left of the tram stop)
  • When facing Tennis HQ, you will see the function centre on your right
  • Enter Function Centre (at ground level, do not go up any stairs) and you will see a long corridor ahead of you
  • Walk approx 20 meters down corridor and Muster Room is on left-hand side, through double glass doors

 

Access Muster Room from Olympic Boulevard

  • From Olympic Boulevard, walk around grand slam oval and access the footbridge that connects Melb and Olympic Park to the MCG
  • Walk down footbridge, toward RAMP just before crossing over tram lines and proceed down
  • At the base of the footbridge, you are at Tram Stop 7B
  • Walk towards Tennis HQ (8 story building to the left of the tram stop)
  • When facing Tennis HQ, you will see the function centre on your right
  • Enter Function Centre (at ground level, do not go up any stairs) and you will see a long corridor ahead of you
  • Walk approx 20 meters down corridor and Muster Room is on left hand side, through double glass doors

Public transport

 TRAM
  • FROM: Flinders Street Railway Station (Cnr) Swanston St and Flinders St
  • CATCH: Tram 70 Waterfront City Docklands to Wattle Park, 6 min (3 stops)
  • GET OFF: Stop 7B Rod Laver Arena/Melbourne Park

WALK 

  • About 6 min , 500 m, south-west, toward Melbourne Park Function Centre
  • Use caution – may involve sections not suited for walking

Street Parking

  • available around the Botanical Gardens and along the Yarra River, time limits and fees apply

Parking Garage (Fees Apply)

  • Rod Laver Arena and Margaret Court Arena– The Northern Carpark via Entrances A or D
  • Melbourne Arena – There is a designated drop off zone, directly in front of Melbourne Arena on Olympic Boulevard
  • AAMI Park – Mobility impaired passengers may be dropped off before the boom gate at Entrance F (East) and Entrance F (West) for easy access to External Lift E (Gate 7) and F (Gate 2)

Please note you will not be able to leave shift to move parking location while on shift

Site Induction (Prior to First Shift)

Required for all employees working in All Areas

Follow the instructions on the right hand side of the screen.

  1. Click  “create new account”
  2. Once completed, please print & email the certificate (Melbourne & Olympic Park Contractors Induction Certificate) If you do not click ‘YES’ to print we are unable to verify that the induction was successfully completed.
  3. Email a copy of the certificate to compliance@hotelstaff.com.au

Pay & Conditions

Pay and Conditions for this site are governed by the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010 [MA000009]. Pay Rates for Casual Classification apply as a Monday-Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday rate. For details go to Click Here for Current Pay Rates

Meal Break Provisions

All team members must bring their own meals to be consumed during 30-minute, unpaid scheduled breaks if shift exceeds 6 hours

Food Safety Induction (Prior to First Shift)
